If you’d like to do something a bit different while supporting a fantastic charity, it’s worth registering to take part in the ‘Life Cycle’ charity bike rides which will raise funds for Awyr Las.
Taking place on 25th September 2016, the ‘Life Cycle’ rides give you the opportunity to enjoy some of the Snowdonia region’s most breathtaking scenery while raising money for a good cause – and it’s great exercise and excellent fun, too!
The 50-mile journey starts at 10am at Beics Menai Bikes, on the quayside at Caernarfon. The route will take you through Porthmadog and the Llŷn Peninsula before looping back to your finishing point in Caernarfon, where there will be family activities and stalls.
If that sounds a bit too strenuous, you can instead opt for the 10-mile ride, which also starts at the quayside in Caernarfon. This route follows the Lon Eifion cycle path alongside the Welsh Highland Railway, and finishes at Inigo Jones Slate Works where there will also be family activities and stalls, before looping back again for another Caernarfon finish.
Whatever your age and cycling experience level, the bike rides are open to all, and provide a unique opportunity to raise funds for local healthcare services (you can find out more about the work Awyr Las does by visiting their website, here).
It costs £20 to enter the event, but if you raise more than £100 for the ward or healthcare service of your choice, this entry fee will be refunded.
